Adopt a TIP Trained Mustang or Burro
Mustangs and Burros available through the Mustang Heritage Foundation's Trainer Incentive program (TIP) can be adopted from the Bureau of Land Management through a TIP trainer (like Naomi!:-), for a $125 adoption fee. These horses will have met the training requirements set-forth by the MHF including haltering, leading, picking up feet, and loading. For details please visit the resources page.

Personal mustangs or burros that are eligible for private sale are typically at more advanced training levels and pricing will vary. There are no specific requirements to adopt these horses, however insuring compatibility between horse and prospective owner is our #1 priority. If you think one of our horses may be the perfect fit for your next equine partnership, please reach out!

If you are interested in potentially bidding on one of our makeover horses currently in training, the best way to follow their progress is via social media!
